Our 2026 Player & Family Night was one for the books.
In August, Copper Mountain Soccer families, players, coaches, sponsors, and community partners came together to celebrate the start of another season. The night was packed with soccer, food, games, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities for families to connect. And while there was a lot happening on the field, one of the most meaningful parts of the evening happened off it, our community came together to collect soccer gear and other donations for children in Honduras.
From a sudden rainstorm to keeper battles, food trucks to giveaways, there was never a dull moment. Here’s a look back at everything that made this year’s Player & Family Night special.
A night like Player & Family Night doesn’t happen without the support of our local business community. From sponsors and activity partners to food trucks and small businesses that showed up for the evening, so many local businesses helped make this year’s event possible.
Their support goes beyond putting a name on a banner. These businesses donated their time, products, activities, prizes, and resources to help create a fun experience for our players and families. They gave our community a chance to connect with local businesses while helping us create an event that felt bigger than a typical soccer night.

We’re pretty sure BidWut had the longest line of the night and possibly the most participants of any activity! They brought two giant inflatable dart targets and challenged players and families to see how accurately they could hit their targets with a soccer ball.
There were plenty of great shots, some serious competition, and a whole lot of excitement as everyone took their turn. And BidWut didn’t stop there, they were incredibly generous with the prizes, giving participants even more reason to step up and take their shot.
A huge thank you to BidWut and Coach Thomas for bringing such a fun activity to Player & Family Night and for generously supporting our CMS community. It was clearly a favorite of the night!
D1 Training brought the competition to Player & Family Night with 5-10-5 shuttle tests and Laser Gate testing. Players had the chance to put their speed, agility, and quickness to the test while getting measurable results from each challenge.
It was a fun way for players to compete against friends, challenge themselves, and see what they could do. We’re grateful to D1 Training for bringing their expertise and helping make Player & Family Night even more interactive for our athletes. They also donated several training sessions to the raffle giveaway!
Gypsy Jewelry by Jade brought a little extra sparkle to Player & Family Night! Their beautiful permanent jewelry gave our CMS families a chance to pick out something special and leave with a piece that could remind them of the night for years to come.
From choosing chains and charms to finding the perfect piece, it was a fun way for parents, players, and families to treat themselves while supporting a local business. Because apparently a CMS Player & Family Night wasn’t complete without a little weather drama.
A major rainstorm rolled through during the evening, sending families scrambling for cover and putting a temporary pause on some of the activities. But it didn’t stop the night. Once the storm passed, the fun continued and, as is often the case with soccer families, everyone just rolled with it.
Sometimes the unexpected moments end up being the ones people remember most.
Giveaways, Games & More
There was plenty more happening throughout the night, from giveaways and games to activities scattered around the event. Players had opportunities to win prizes, challenge their friends, and explore everything Player & Family Night had to offer.
More than anything, the evening gave our CMS community a chance to spend time together outside of regular practices and games.
More Than a Soccer Club
Player & Family Night is about much more than kicking off a new season. It’s a chance to bring the entire Copper Mountain Soccer community together players, families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses.
This year’s event reminded us of what makes CMS special. Our community showed up to support local partners, have fun together, welcome a new season, and give back to kids across the world.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, brought a food truck, set up a booth, handed out a giveaway, competed in a race, climbed the wall, battled in Keeper Wars or simply came out to spend the evening with us.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
