2025 Parent & Player Appreciation Night

On August 12th, Copper Mountain Soccer (CMS) hosted a celebration evening at Highland Park to celebrate our community and bring all our programs together. Players and families from our competitive, recreation, academy, and TOPSoccer programs were invited to join in, and the park quickly filled with excitement, food, and nonstop soccer activities.

The night featured a variety of challenges that kept players moving and having fun. One of the most popular activities was the soccer skills station, where players tested their dribbling, passing, and ball control. Players could also join in on Goalie Wars, a fast-paced challenge where goalkeepers faced off in a fun, competitive shootout. Another highlight was the Sharp Shooters station, where players aimed for targets to test their accuracy and power.

While the fields were full of action, the sidelines were just as busy. Families enjoyed dinner from local food trucks, including Chick-fil-A and El Pariente, which added to the festive atmosphere. The first 50 players wearing their Copper Mountain jersey even received free Kona Ice, creating a long but excited line as kids cooled off with shaved ice.

The evening also included a cleat exchange, where families could donate old cleats or pick up a gently used pair. This helped players find the gear they needed while supporting others in the club. Next to it was our donation box, where guests could drop off new or used soccer gear, old uniforms, and school supplies. All donated items will go to local Title One schools, helping students and young athletes in our community.

Another exciting part of the night was our raffle table. Families had the chance to win soccer gear, gift cards, and other fun prizes. It added an extra layer of excitement, and many players stuck around to see if their ticket would be drawn. Alongside the raffle, we also sold our 10th anniversary swag, giving families a chance to pick up limited-edition hats, shirts, and other items celebrating a decade of Copper Mountain Soccer.

Throughout the evening, our families and players showed us what makes CMS special. With activities for every age and every program, players were able to try new challenges, learn new skills, and enjoy a night built around fun and community. Whether someone came for the food trucks, the soccer challenges, the giveaways, or just to connect with other families, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Events like this help strengthen the connection between our programs and remind us why CMS continues to grow each year. We are grateful to everyone who joined us under the lights and made the evening a success. Copper Mountain Soccer looks forward to more gatherings like this as we continue building a strong, supportive, and energetic soccer community.
