At Copper Mountain Soccer, we believe in giving every player a strong foundation — not just in technical soccer skills, but in leadership, community, and a love for “the world’s game.” This season, we’re proud to announce that several of our players have committed to play college soccer. Their dedication, grit, and passion make our whole club proud.

Meet the New College Players
- Ella Reading — Committed to Colorado Northwestern Community College. CNCC is based in Rangely, Colorado, recently opened a new soccer field to support its growing women’s soccer program.
- Maiya Pippin — Heading to Lower Columbia College (Red Devils). We’re excited to see her bring her CMS‑honed skills to the Pacific Northwest.
- Alex Barton — Committing to Western Wyoming Community College, joining a strong women’s soccer program that draws from many talented players in the region.
- Gracie Thoreson — Also committing to Western Wyoming, a sign of the strength of that program and the readiness of our athletes to step into collegiate-level play.
- Mylie Louder — Set to play at Utah State University Eastern, representing CMS on home‑state turf. USU Eastern offers opportunities for growth and competition close to home.
- Kait Meyer — Committing to the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA). It’s inspiring to see a CMS player combining athletics with a rigorous academic/service‑oriented environment.
- Keira Stephany — Headed to Occidental College. Occidental is known for a strong academic environment, and we’re eager to see how she thrives there both on and off the pitch.
What This Means for CMS and the Players
For these seven athletes, committing to college soccer is more than just writing their names on a roster; it’s the start of a new chapter. They leave behind rec fields and competition leagues to embrace structured college training, academic challenges, and the chance to grow as players and individuals. For CMS, it affirms our mission: to develop well‑trained, confident young athletes, not just technically, but mentally and socially, who are ready for the next level.
Each school brings something unique. Some, like Colorado Northwestern, have recently committed to upgrading their facilities, reflecting investment in athletics. Others, like Occidental and USMMA, offer a balance of strong academics and athletics ideal for players who value both education and sport.
A Look Ahead
To Ella, Maiya, Alex, Gracie, Mylie, Kait, and Keira: this is just the beginning. College soccer will challenge you on the field with a faster pace and tougher competition; off the field, with academics, time management, and growth as leaders. But we know your time at CMS has prepared you for exactly this.
From everyone at Copper Mountain Soccer, coaches, teammates, families, and supporters, we’re cheering for you. We can’t wait to follow your college journeys. Carry our spirit with you.
Here’s to strong starts, big goals, and bright futures.
